Dear Caroline

To My Dearest Baby Girl (AKA Puss Puss),

I can't believe you are almost 5 months old. It is AMAZING how much you've already grown, learned and developed in these few months. You are already rolling over, smiling, laughing and generally melting my heart on a daily basis.

My favorite part of the day is getting up in the morning. I hear you babbling in the monitor and go downstairs to see you. Of course I get interrupted on my way to your room by the oh-so-demanding diva cat. Franklin INSISTS I deviate from my path to give him some drips from the tub. I turn on the faucet, so I can focus all my attention on you.

Once in your room, I peer into the crib. You stop, looking at me like I caught you doing something wrong. There is a second delay before you give me that big toothless grin and giggle. And my heart explodes from joy.

We go about our morning routine, stopping intermittently to smile at each other.

It is so hard to believe that you've only been around for 5 months! People say it only gets better, but I can't imagine how.

Love,
Your Momma

Time Flies

My little girl is growing by leaps and bounds right now. I put her in some 6 month clothing and I’m surprised that they are almost too small! We had a very busy weekend. First we went to visit the Harpsters and the Halons on Friday night. Caroline was having so much fun that she decided she didn’t want to sleep. Instead, she visited well past her bed time.

Saturday we had my cousins wedding in Cincinnati. It was a whirlwind because Hubs was in the wedding. That meant I had to drop him off early and try to get the boogs and me dressed and to the church on time. We just barely made it before the bride walked down the aisle! The reception was fun but before we could bat an eye, it was well past the baby girl’s bedtime again. We departed to Uncle Meg’s house for the night. Uncle Meg and I were whipped.

The next morning we went for brunch with Bubby and headed home.

In the car on the way home, I was reflecting on how different life is now, how different the night went verses what I expected. Times like this I see how babies change things. Don’t get me wrong, none of this change is bad, just different in the way time is spent with my family. No longer drinking and dancing late into the night, I’ve traded cocktails for coffee and hangovers for sleep.

Ok, on to what you are really here for….some pictures of the baby so you can see how much she’s growing.

Busy Busy

So besides the fact that my baby girl has decided she no longer can sleep through the night, I've been very busy on craft projects. I'm excited to share them with you BUT they are all for Biscuit's shower that I'm hosting next month. I want her to be surprised and she is one of the 5 people that actually reads my blog (love you biscuit).

So sorry if I've been MIA but if I'm not working, crafting, taking care of the injured puppy, giving attention to the suddenly needy cat, checking to see if my husband still loves me, or attending to my 4 month old daughter than I am ASLEEP.

Here are some pictures to keep you all happy while I.... ZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzz
